Dispersed!

This is how I define myself. Spent all day trying to put my head and ideas together. Where do I start? Let's see: I have to prepare for my classes, clean around a bit, wash laundry, cook lunch, go for a run (and of course blog and chat when I want to avoid all of the above, which of course - along with hanging out in my garden under the pretext of weeding-tends to happen quite often) 8 am: I walk in my baby's room with a warm cup of milk: "Wake up baby! time for school! ( daycare, might aswell refer to it as school since it will last for a while..."milk milk" he whines, his eyes still shut. I smile and say: "Good morning sunshine, how did you sleep? do you want to take a warm bath before going to school?...Yesterday, the answer was a nice and enthusiastic "sure" this morning it was a cranky "no!" "never mind baby..." Half an hour later, we managed to put on our clothes but failed to dispense the morning carb (Luckily, they do serve breakfast at daycare). We finally head to daycare/school: a group of terrible twos joyfully discovering how to socialize and torturing all the rest around them. The drive to school is pretty neat. Open prairies lay across the missouri river: My little boy usually points at them and says "mama, that's Nebraska"...and if he doesn't, I remind him of what has become a cherished routine: "look baby what's that on the other side of the river?" "Nebraska," he says, "that's Nebraska". Isn't it beautiful? Rain or shine the world is always beautiful in his company. The ride lasts 5 minutes. Five minutes of intense sharing, five minutes of wonder, five minutes of pointing to the places and things that surround us: look that's a big corn field, look that's a fast squirrel, look there is a rabbit crossing the street! you think he is scared? five minutes 'till I drop him off...five my minutes...then, no sooner do I get a taste of freedom that I am dispersed again: What will I do today? Where do I start?
